Edenplace Mental Health Nursing Home was established in 1984, it a spacious Edwardian town House, once the residence of Sir Anthony Eden (British Prime Minister 1955-57), and was the birth place of Dam buster pilot Henry Eric Maudsley (21 July 1921 – 17 May 1943).
Edenplace has 33 bedrooms, providing long term accommodation for adults with mental illness who require support and supervision and are unable to live independently. Edenplace has the faculty to offer short stays if required.
Edenplace has Registered Nurses (RMN and RGN) and healthcare assistants on duty 24 hour a day. We also have a full team of catering staff, housekeepers and maintenance who all work over 7 days per week.
Edenplace emphasis is on maintaining or developing the skills of an individual to maximise their level of independence. Residents are encouraged, if able, to maintain their own rooms, and to undertake activities of daily life. Residents who do not have these skills are supported by the staff team. Each of our residents have personalised care plans to support with their day to day life, and monitor progression.
Edenplace has been sympathetically extended and has thirty three single rooms. Many rooms have superb views over Leamington Spa and the surrounding areas. Fifteen rooms have en-suite facilities.
Edenplace has a wheelchair accessible lift to the first floor. Edenplace is also equipped for moving and handling needs with recently installed tracking hoist systems.
There are also several lounges and dining areas. There are private courtyards and landscaped gardens, with a smoking shelter, patio furniture and benches. The home is secure and has gated entry points.
Edenplace has a visitors cabin, this is used for private visits, meetings and activities.
Edenplace is located in Lillington, this is approximately 1.7 miles from Leamington Spa town centre.
Edenplace has two vehicles, one is wheelchair accessible, these are used for transporting residents to appointments, activities and social events.
Local amenities include shops, public houses, restaurants, churches and libraries and easily accessed buses that provide good links to surrounding areas.
